The Executive Governor of Sokoto State
Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto (born 1 January 1970) is a Nigerian politician who is the governor of Sokoto State. He was a former commissioner and was the deputy governor of Sokoto State from 2015 until his resignation in 2018.
Early life and background: Ahmed Aliyu was born on 1 January 1970, in Tudun wada at Sokoto metropolis, Sokoto state, Nigeria. He has worked as a cashier, an auditor and an accountant.
He was deputy director of Finance and Supply, Sabon-Birni Local Government, 1996 to 1998; Director of Finance and Supply, Kebbe Local Chief Accountant Local Government Service Commission, 2004 to 2007.
He was a two-term Commissioner and the first Executive Secretary of Police Trust Fund (PTF).

ALH. Nasiru Mohammed is a dedicated leader and experienced professional in public administration and primary education. As the Managing Director of the Sokoto Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), he oversees strategic initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability and community development across Sokoto State.
With a career spanning over three decades, Nasiru has served in various roles, including his long tenure at the Ministry for Local Government, where he contributed to grassroots development and governance. He also worked with the Ministry of Finance, further solidifying his expertise in public sector management.
Nasiru holds a B.Ed. in Primary Education from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, an HND and Diploma from Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, and an ACCI Certificate from the College of Administration. His educational background and extensive experience make him a driving force behind SEPA’s mission to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for Sokoto State.
Aliyu Abubakar Gora is a passionate advocate for sustainable environmental practices and regulatory compliance. With over a decade of experience as the Director of Environmental Conservation at the Sokoto Environmental Protection Agency, he has been instrumental in implementing policies that promote ecological awareness and safeguard natural resources.
Aliyu oversees waste management programs, conducts environmental impact assessments, and ensures compliance with environmental laws to protect public health and the environment in Sokoto State. He collaborates with government agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to advance conservation initiatives that benefit current and future generations.
Aliyu holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and certifications in Environmental Health Technology and Public Administration. His unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship makes him a pivotal figure in driving sustainable change across Sokoto State.
Abdulrahsid Isah Sadiq is a dedicated environmental professional committed to safeguarding the Sokoto region. With expertise in agricultural assistance and local government administration, Abdulrahsid brings a diverse skillset to his work at SEPA. Known for his strong interpersonal communication and leadership abilities, Abdulrahsid is driven to positively contribute to the development and environmental protection of the organization and community.
In his free time, he enjoys playing football and reading. Abdulrahsid holds a B.Sc. in International Relations and SSCE certificates from respected institutions in Sokoto State.
Bello Muhammed is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in public finance and administration. Currently serving as the Finance Officer at the Sokoto Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), he is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining fiscal accountability to support the agency's environmental initiatives.
Bello's career spans over two decades, including roles with the Ministry of Finance, where he served as an Accountant, and with the State Arabic and Islamic Education Board. His dedication to public service and financial management has significantly contributed to the organizations he has served.
He holds a Diploma in Public Accountancy and Auditing from Sokoto State Polytechnic and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. His expertise and leadership in financial planning are pivotal to the success of SEPA's mission.
